A human resources analyst is responsible for analyzing and evaluating data related to employee performance and making recommendations to improve the effectiveness of an organization's human resources policies and programs. They may also be responsible for conducting research on trends in employee compensation and benefits, as well as job satisfaction and turnover.
Human Resources Analyst job duties include:
- Research and compile data related to employee benefits, compensation, and other HR programs.
- Analyze data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
- Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Manage employee records and files, including tracking employee absences and leave requests.
- Process payroll and maintain accurate employee timekeeping records.
- Generate reports on various HR metrics, such as turnover rates and employee satisfaction levels.
- Serve as a resource to employees regarding benefits, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection process for new employees.
- Conduct new hire orientations and onboarding programs.
Human Resources Analyst Job Requirements
Most Human Resources Analysts have a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. Many also have a master's degree or certification in human resources management. Most analysts have at least five years of experience working in human resources or a related field.
