Dear Hiring Manager,
Dear American Academy of Actuaries, I am writing in regards to the open position for an Actuary. I have attached my resume and cover letter for your review and I believe that I would be the perfect candidate for this role. As an Actuary, I am responsible for the financial planning and risk management of insurance companies. I have a strong background in mathematics and statistics, which I use to calculate premiums and policy prices. I am also adept at creating actuarial models to predict future losses. In addition to my technical skills, I have excellent communication and presentation skills, which I use to present my findings to clients and senior management.
I am an actuary working at Society of Actuaries. I have been working in this field for 5 years and have accomplished a lot during that time. I have helped develop several new actuarial models, including one for predicting mortality rates. I also authored a paper on the role of insurance in retirement planning, which was published in the Journal of Risk and Insurance. In addition to my work as an actuary, I am also certified public accountant (CPA) and hold a masters degree in mathematics from MIT
I am an Actuary with many years of experience. I have worked in the insurance industry for my entire career, and have been involved in pricing, product development, reserving and capital management. I am a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
