How to become a Senior Project Engineer
A Senior Project Engineer is a professional who is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the engineering aspects of a project. They are also responsible for ensuring that the project meets all safety, quality, and performance requirements. In order to become a Senior Project Engineer, one must first obtain a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university. Once they have obtained their degree, they must then pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. After passing the FE exam, they must gain four years of experience working as an engineer. After gaining the required experience, they must then pass the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam. Once they have passed the PE exam, they will be licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE). At this point, they will be able to apply for jobs as a Senior Project Engineer.
