What does a Manufacturing Project Manager do?

A Manufacturing Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of manufacturing projects. They oversee all aspects of the project, from planning and scheduling to implementation and monitoring.
The Manufacturing Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest possible standard. They will liaise with all relevant parties involved in the project, including suppliers, manufacturers, and customers. - Track project milestones and deliverables
- Facilitate the definition of project tasks and resource requirements
- Resolve or escalate project issues in a timely fashion
Manufacturing Project Manager Job Requirements
A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field is typically required for most manufacturing project manager positions. Some employers may prefer candidates who have a master's degree in business administration (MBA) or a master's degree in engineering. Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is also often preferred. Several years of experience working in engineering or manufacturing are typically required as well.
