What does a Breakfast Attendant do?

A breakfast attendant is responsible for setting up and maintaining the breakfast buffet, as well as keeping the dining area clean and organized. They may also be responsible for taking orders and serving guests.

- Greeting guests as they arrive and seating them in the dining room

Breakfast Attendant Job Requirements
There are not many requirements for a breakfast attendant. Most hotels will require that you have a high school diploma or equivalent, although some may not. You will also need to be able to lift and carry trays of food, as well as be able to stand for long periods of time. Certification is not required, but it may be helpful. Experience is also not required, although it may be helpful.

How to become a Breakfast Attendant
In order to become a breakfast attendant, there are a few things you will need to do. First, you will need to obtain a food handler’s license. This can be done by taking a food safety course offered by your local health department or online. Once you have completed the course and passed the exam, you will then need to find a job at a hotel or restaurant that offers breakfast.
When you first start working as a breakfast attendant, you will likely be responsible for setting up the buffet or continental breakfast.
