  • Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.

Structural Design Engineer Job Requirements

A Structural Design Engineer typically has a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, although some positions may require a Master's degree. Many Structural Design Engineers are licensed Professional Engineers (PE). Some employers may also require certification from the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). Structural Design Engineers typically have 5-10 years of experience in structural engineering before being promoted to a senior position.

How to become a Structural Design Engineer

A structural design engineer is responsible for the design and analysis of structures, including buildings, bridges, towers, and other support systems.
