A Sales Advisor is responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring that sales targets are met. They will provide advice and assistance to customers in order to help them make the best purchase decisions.   • Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
  • Prepare sales slips or sales contracts.
  • Obtain merchandise requested by customer or suggest alternatives if requested merchandise is out of stock.

Sales Advisor Job Requirements

Most employers prefer to hire a Sales Advisor with a high school diploma or equivalent, although some jobs may require postsecondary education, such as completing a training program. Many community colleges, technical schools, and private companies offer certification programs that can improve your chances of getting hired. Some employers may also require experience in customer service or sales.
