A Microstrategy Administrator is responsible for the administration and support of the Microstrategy business intelligence platform. This includes configuring and managing user access, developing and maintaining reports and dashboards, and providing training and support to users.
Microstrategy Administrator job duties include:
- Manage the MicroStrategy environment including upgrades, deployments, configurations, security, performance tuning, and monitoring
- Install, configure, and administer the MicroStrategy platform and products
- Design and implement data models and cubes in MicroStrategy
- Develop and maintain reporting and analytical applications using MicroStrategy
- Write custom SQL queries to extract data from relational databases for use in MicroStrategy reports and dashboards
- Create and manage user groups, roles, and permissions in MicroStrategy
- Train users on how to use the MicroStrategy platform and products
- Provide technical support for users of the MicroStrategy platform and products
- Monitor system performance and capacity utilization
Microstrategy Administrator Job Requirements
A Microstrategy Administrator is responsible for the administration and support of Microstrategy products. They need to have a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, and experience with Microstrategy products is preferred. They should also be able to troubleshoot technical issues and have excellent customer service skills. Certification in Microstrategy is not required, but may be helpful.
