- Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational standards.
- Prepare layout drawings of machines.
Mechanical Engineering Technician Job Requirements
A Mechanical Engineering Technician typically has an Associate's degree in engineering technology, although a Bachelor's degree may be preferred by some employers. Certification as a Certified Manufacturing Technician (CMT) or a Certified Production Technician (CPT) may also be required or preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment is also helpful.
