What does a Hyperion Analyst do?

A Hyperion Analyst is responsible for the administration and support of the Hyperion Planning application. This includes developing and maintaining planning models, providing user support, and training. The analyst also works closely with other teams to ensure that the application meets the needs of the business.
Hyperion Analyst job duties include:
- Develop and maintain Hyperion Planning and Essbase applications including business rules, calculation scripts, dimensions, data loads, and member lists
- Work with business users to understand their reporting needs and develop solutions to meet those needs
- Design and develop financial reports using Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio
- Maintain and support existing reports and report writers
- Assist in the development of training materials and user documentation
- Provide Tier 2 support for end users
- Monitor system performance and capacity planning
- Assist in the upgrade and migration of applications and databases
- Perform data analysis using SQL and other tools
Hyperion Analyst Job Requirements
A Hyperion Analyst is responsible for the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle Hyperion applications. They work with business users to gather requirements and create technical specifications. A Hyperion Analyst should have a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. They should also have experience working with Oracle databases and applications. Certification in Oracle Hyperion is preferred.
