- Monitoring progress of construction work to ensure that deadlines are met and that work is proceeding within budget.
- Investigating damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to determine causes and responsibility, and to recommend corrective action.
- Preparing reports on progress of projects for submission to superiors.
