A Head Start Teacher is responsible for the educational development of children from birth to age five. They work with families to provide services that promote school readiness and success.
Head Start Teacher job duties include:
- Plan and implement daily lesson plans for a class of 3-5 year olds in a pre-kindergarten setting
- Work with parents and guardians to develop individualized education plans for each child

How to become a Head Start Teacher
There are a few steps that one must take in order to become a Head Start Teacher. Firstly, it is important to have a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field. Finally, one must apply for and receive a Head Start Teaching Certificate.
