A custodial supervisor is responsible for the cleanliness of a building or property. They oversee a team of custodians who perform tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming. The supervisor may also be responsible for stocking supplies and performing light maintenance tasks.

Custodial Supervisor Job Requirements
A Custodial Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a custodial staff. They must have experience in managing a team and be able to develop cleaning schedules, train new employees, and resolve customer complaints. A Custodial Supervisor must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience in commercial cleaning. Some Custodial Supervisors may also need to be certified in CPR and first aid.

How to become a Custodial Supervisor
The Custodial Supervisor is responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance, and operation of all school buildings and grounds. They oversee the work of the custodial staff and ensure that all cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The Custodial Supervisor must be able to work well with others and have excellent communication skills.
To become a Custodial Supervisor, one must first complete high school or obtain a GED. Next, they must complete on-the-job training through an apprenticeship program or by working as a Custodian for at least two years. After completing on-the-job training, the individual must then pass a written examination administered by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET). Once certified, the individual can apply for a position as a Custodial Supervisor.
