How to become a Custodial Supervisor
The Custodial Supervisor is responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance, and operation of all school buildings and grounds. The Custodial Supervisor must be able to work well with others and have excellent communication skills.
To become a Custodial Supervisor, one must first complete high school or obtain a GED. Next, they must complete on-the-job training through an apprenticeship program or by working as a Custodian for at least two years. After completing on-the-job training, the individual must then pass a written examination administered by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET). Once certified, the individual can apply for a position as a Custodial Supervisor.
