Construction Technician Job Requirements

Most construction technicians have at least a high school diploma, although some jobs may require postsecondary education, and most employers provide on-the-job training. Some states require construction technicians to be licensed. Certification is available from several organizations, such as the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies and the American Society for Nondestructive Testing, Inc.
